Canvas Elements
Canvases are a different medium, with different framing requirements. We stretch canvases on strainer bars, a rigid counterpart to stretcher bars. These can then be decoratively framed or left with a gallery wrap.
We also offer blank, preprimed 15oz canvas, available in custom sizes.

A painting bought over seas and stretched and framed in house in Waihi. We opted for a frame with a black frame and timber edges, to soften the dark appearance on such a bright painting.
This 1200mm high, meticulous screen print is on a canvas substrate. We chose a design that framed it behind glass, with the matboard cut on the angle, to match the perspective of the image. Antiglare ArtGlass UV70 allows complete clarity to view the high level of detail in this image.

This small canvas posed the challenge of having a small amount of edge of fix. With meticulous attention to detail, we managed to keep as much image on the front as possible.

This creation was drawn on thin linen in mixed media. The choice was made to frame it other stretching, to give it the best final appearance. A gold frame with a charred clacked beautifully hinted at the fire power of the dragon.
